A word from the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine

In 2019, the idea of establishing the College of Medicine at Al-Ain University in Iraq was proposed to be the second private medical college in Iraq after the College of Medicine at Al-Ameed University in Karbala and the first private medical college in the southern region. After three years of correspondence, consultations and tireless efforts with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the completion of the necessary requirements, including a university hospital with a capacity of 200 beds, a decision was issued to establish it in November 2022 to receive students in the academic year 2022-2023, where the first batch was received, consisting of 192 male and female students with high grades exceeding 94%.

College message

Preparing highly skilled and competitive pharmacists through high-quality pharmaceutical education, an academic environment, and training that promotes professionalism, teamwork, innovation, and research excellence, to contribute to sustainable community development and meet labor market needs.

Scientific branches

Since its establishment, the College of Medicine at Al Ain University has included eleven scientific branches distributed among the basic branches and clinical branches that were carefully established from the first day of the college’s opening, as the university hospital is a general hospital and includes the four clinical branches: the branch of medicine and its specialized departments, the branch of surgery and its specialized branches, and the branch of pediatrics and gynecology.

College objectives

Preparing distinguished physicians with high levels of practical training and keeping pace with developments in the field of medicine, both locally and internationally. Providing distinguished and modern medical services through the college's own university hospital. Supporting advanced medical scientific research through research centers and units at the college, the university, and the university hospital.
