About Department of Computer Engineering Technology
The Department of Computer Engineering Technology is one of the modern directions in the field of electronic engineering, specifically in the design and implementation of electronic systems, computer boards, and the maintenance and repair of various electronic faults. The department accepts graduates of preparatory studies, scientific branch, industry, and technical institutes in similar technical specializations. The duration of study is four years and the language of instruction is electronic English. The graduate is then awarded a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering Technology, equivalent to the degree awarded in the specialization by the technical colleges of the Technical Education Authority. The graduate is also granted an identity card from the Engineers Syndicate and is entitled to practice the engineering profession in government departments and the private sector.
Department's vision
To qualify distinguished and innovative competencies, scientifically, with high skills and professional and ethical behavior, capable of keeping pace with developments in the field of computer technology and providing applicable solutions to scientific, engineering, and community service obstacles.
Departmental message
Graduating distinguished technical engineers with engineering scientific levels and high efficiency in the fields of computer engineering technologies by providing an advanced scientific environment and specialized cadres to enable them to complete the path of higher education and vocational learning and provide community service within work teams of various specializations.
Department objectives
- Effectively apply engineering methods to solve professional problems related to the design, development, manufacture, and maintenance of computer technologies and related systems, understanding the social, ethical, and environmental context of their work. - Effectively communicate with diverse and international communities, collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams, and assume leadership roles while meeting employer expectations. - Continuously and periodically engage in professional technical development.
Admission requirements
- Graduates of secondary school, science stream (applied and biological) - Graduates of secondary school, industrial (electronics and control, communications, computer maintenance, electricity and electrical power, medical devices, information technology, computers, and computer networks). - Graduates of secondary school, industrial (computer assembly and maintenance, computer networks, telephones, and laptops). - Graduates are eligible to join the Iraqi Engineers Syndicate, pursuant to the Syndicate's decision dated September 2, 2009.
Graduate Description
